A very handsome small carbine, with a very good tight and crisp action. Likely for cavalry or mounted artillery use.
Fine walnut stock with fine patination, all steel furniture, in very nice order, including the butt plate, side-plate, trigger guard, and three screw fixed barrel bands. Both sling swivels present. Likely a war souvenir, brought back to England and the barrels re-proofed by the Birmingham proof-house, with the 1813 Birmingham proofs, for use in Britain.
