A Very Good, Antique Decorated Spanish Antique Albacete Fighting Knife, aka The Albacete Knife Plug Bayonet. With Pieced Blade & Dot Punched Decoration With A Brass and Carved Bone Hilt

Although frequently termed the plug bayonet knife, they were not actually used as bayonets as such, but, once the term was used it has remained in common parlance, even today.

A 19th Century Spanish Fighting knife; Albacete Spain; This knife measures 10.75 inches in length with a ornate double edged 6.75 inch blade. The blade has four pierced hole added for traditional decoration as well as pin point punch engraving decoration. The hilt is brass with carved bone. The bone has been fluted length ways and filled with decorative brass panels.
